Jewelry Care & Maintenance

General Care Tips

  • Remove jewelry before sleeping.
  • Keep your pieces dry — remove before shower, bath, or swimming.
  • Wipe your jewelry with a soft cloth to keep it clean.
  • Remove jewelry during physical activity.
  • Allow perfume, lotion, or cosmetics to dry before wearing your jewelry.
  • Store jewelry in a closed bag or box to prevent scratches and tarnishing.

Caring for Your Pure Red Copper Bangle: Patina, Skin Marks & Shine

  • The Patina Process: Over time, the bright red-orange shine will deepen into a rich, vintage bronze or earthy brown. This is called patina—a protective layer that gives the bracelet a unique, antique character.
  • Skin Interaction: You may occasionally notice a slight green mark on your wrist. This is a harmless reaction between the copper and your sweat (oxidation), indicating the copper is being absorbed by the body. It washes off easily with soap and water.
  • Restoring the Shine: If you prefer the bright "new penny" look, simply polish the bracelet with a mix of lemon juice and salt, or a standard jewelry polishing cloth, and it will return to its original brilliance instantly.

Special Note for Gold Jewelry

18K gold is more durable and less reactive, so you can wear it normally. Perfume and lotion drying is not necessary, but general care (cleaning and storage) still applies.
